Achievements on Council

Over the past four years, I have championed and advocated for a wide range of projects and services for our city. Here you can read about some of these actions and how they are benefiting our local community. More to do. Ready to deliver.

New Children's Crossing in Nightcliff

As a father of four and a civil engineer, road safety is always a top priority for me. This children's crossing will provide added protection for our residents, particularly our children, as they navigate our streets.
The completion of the children's crossing at Bauhinia Street is a significant achievement for our community, and I'm proud to have been part of this effort.

Nightcliff Oval Changerooms

Last year the Australian Government announced support of $1.5m to fully fund the new Nightcliff Oval changerooms project with City of Darwin and AFL Northern Territory!
This was a huge development for women’s sport, our local sporting clubs including Nightcliff Tigers Football Club and Nightcliff Cricket Club, and our community.
It was great recognition of the many hardworking volunteers from Nightcliff Football Club that have worked on this project for over 10 years to achieve this major milestone. I was proud to play a role in advocating for this great new community infrastructure.

East Point Community Tree Planting

This fantastic community event has seen thousands of trees planted over the years - helping cool our city and boost biodiversity. It was also great to see how much last year’s plants have grown. Thanks to the fantastic work of City of Darwin staff who made the day possible and to everyone who came down to lend a hand. On Council, I’ll keep backing the cooling and greening of our beautiful outdoor capital!

Bundilla Beach Stage 1

Last month we opened the new Bundilla Beach Stage 1 revitalisation project. On Council, I continually push for better infrastructure for our local communities. Bundilla Beach is part of Chan Ward and I am proud we have delivered:

- a new skate surface

- basketball court

- additional landscaping and green spaces

- community bbq and shelter

- new walking and cycling paths

This area has been totally transformed from a hot bitumen car park to a beach front paradise our whole community can enjoy. It was fantastic to see so many of you down there to celebrate the opening with kids activities, food vans and the Darwin Salties.

It was so much fun that I couldn’t keep the twins out of the ribbon cutting! But in all seriousness, as a Dad of four, I am committed to investing in infrastructure projects that build and support our community - both now and for the future.
